Knitting 101
For Beginners; sessions consist of 4 classes where student will learn basic knitting techniques. Knit stitch, purl stitch, cast on and bind off will be covered, as well as "Easy" pattern reading instruction, how to find gauge, and reading a yarn label.
Knitting 201
In this class you will be building upon basic skills learned in Knitting 101. During the course of this class you will learn to cast-on and knit using circular needles and double pointed needles. You will also gain experience in the areas of decreasing and finishing; as well as gain knowledge in picking up stitches and doing simple color work. All new techniques will be introduced in class with time for practice; homework will be working on projects and additional practice as needed.
Special Discount
If you register for both Knitting 101 and Knitting 201 at the same time, you can receive a 25% discount. The classes may be taken consecutively or you may take a break between to finish up a projects from the previous level.
Classes will meet for 4 weeks with simple homework that builds on class work and will conclude with the completion of a simple project. Sessions meet on Tuesday or Wednesday in the late morning; other days and times may be available, please send a message to check.
Private or Group lessons are available. Private lessons meet for an hour and thirty minutes, and Group lessons meet for two hours each session.
