Pick Me Up...Please!!!

I have been anxiously awaiting word from the Spanish department, at the school I will be attending this summer to finish up my degree. I have been waiting because I took an online placement test to see what class I should take, although I already know what I NEED! However, the school was steadfast in its decision to have me follow their rules. O.K. (Well of course I wasn't happy about it, but I did it.)

Today I get the news that according to my test results, I am "overqualified", and they are not ALLOWED to place me in the class I NEED.

Hearing that I was crushed, there I was worried, I wouldn't do well enough, and it turns out, I'm too good. Well not me actually; you see, I prayed with my husband before taking the test, and he continued to pray for me while I was taking it. (Isn't he wonderful?) At any rate, it was brought to my remembrance that God will reward us beyond our expectations. The God in me shined, as he should, letting me know he would never leave me nor forsake me.

However I wasn't seeing the light at first. I saw it as a blow, a step back, but a friend kindly put it into perspective for me, by reminding me that sometimes we take a step back only to change direction and go further forward. Another friend reminded me, that being "overqualified" means I can only go UP. Thank you Ladies, I love you, because you have turned my face in the right direction.

Sometimes we need our friends to lift us up, and turn our heads to the light, show us that "silver-lining". My girls picked me up, right when I needed it, and I am thankful to them. Here is something that another girl friend shared with me, and I though that a lot of us could stand to hear it as well. Enjoy and as always,

Be Blessed

Don't worry - God has something in mind for you and maybe this isn't the path that will lead you to it.

I'm also a returning student and after a few disappointments with classes and schedules I decided to leave it up to Him and things would work out the way they were supposed to.

Keep looking up :)
