Knitting for Soldiers

Stitch Cafe Free Patterns!

I've joined an online group called Socks For Soldiers, which collectively knits socks, beanies and washclothes for our soldiers deployed in Iraq, as a show of our support for them during their tours. I'm not the greatest sock knitter, as a matter of fact, I think the one sock I did knit I messed up the sole in that I twisted my needles and so the bottom is inside out. At any rate, I'll be making beanies and washclothes, as I can't mess those up. This just happens to be the pattern that I will be using for the beanies. I think that its got just enough flair and the fact that it was made with love and hope will be the icing on the cake. If you're a knitter, and its in your heart check out the group groups.yahoo.com/group/sockforsoldiers. And if you think you can make the time committment I urge you to join. It's a great cause and the soldiers will truly appreciate it.

Be Safe.

I love your jewelry and I admire the support you give soldiers by joinging SFS.
Just knitting one pair will make yours and a soldiers day. :)
Welcome to the group!
